Covid-19 Information

Coronavirus, COVID-19 - What you need to know

As of 8th July 2020
After recent announcements we are delighted to announce that we will now be able to welcome you back from 11th July at 12pm 2020. This is the first date in which you be able to visit the park in line with the government guidelines. You will not be able to access the park before this date.

Part of the Welsh Government Guidance States that:
'You will not be able to use accommodation with shared facilities in Wales until any change to the law is made. If a change to the law is made it is likely to take effect on 11 July.
If the decision is taken to reopen caravan parks, it is likely that people will only be able to stay in touring caravans, motorhomes and campervans which have their own on-board shower, WC and kitchen facilities.
Most shared facilities, aside from water and disposal points, are expected to remain closed. This includes toilets, shower blocks, laundry facilities, clubhouses, and children's play areas. It will also include restaurants, bars and cafes, other than for serving takeaway food and drink for consumption off the premises."
At this time, we are unable to open to launderette, games room, children's play areas, toilets, or shower facilities. As soon as the Welsh Government Guidance allows us to open any of these facilities, we are ready to do so.
This means, however that we are also currently unable to reopen for camping.

New Procedures On Our Park
In order to comply with government guidelines you will need to inform the park of the dates you will be arriving and departing. This can be done via our guest/owners portal which can be set up on the link below. This is a legal requirement to support the Test, Trace and Protect scheme for all members on site.

All our pitches are over 2 metres apart, so we remind you to follow social distancing guidance at all times
Please DO NOT:
Meet or gather with friends inside your caravan, who are not members of your extended household
Allow children to roam unsupervised around the park so that they do not, albeit inadvertently, break the social distance rule.

Extended households
Two households are able to join together to form an extended household. This means all the people living in these two separate households will become part of one extended household for the purposes of the coronavirus restrictions. They will enjoy the same legal freedoms people living in individual households currently have – such as being able to meet indoors, have physical contact and stay in each other's homes. This will apply to your accommodation on park. Only the people in your existing extended household will be able to meet inside your accommodation. There is no limit on the number of people who can be in an extended household, providing they all live in the two households being joined together.

Seeing people outside your extended household
Members of two separate extended households (and any carers) are allowed to meet outdoors as long as you maintain social distancing. This does not need to be the same people from the same household every time. Maintaining the physical distancing measures while outdoors means there is a low risk of infection, but low risk does not mean no risk.

On arrival you will see signage in place on how you would need to follow certain guidelines around the park. This includes measures such as social distancing and other health and safety measures in place to protect you and our staff on park.
We have increased and up weighted our cleaning procedures across all of our public areas and will continue to do so throughout your stay. You will also notice an increase in hand sanitation stations on our park. Our facilities will be operating in line with the government Guidelines. You will see the social distancing measure we have put in place ready for your arrival.

At Whitewell Holiday Park & Oakland Caravan Park, the health and safety of our Guests, Owners and Team is our number one priority.

Book with Confidence
We understand that you may be feeling unsettled given the rapidly changing situation surrounding Coronavirus. We have implemented our 'Book with Confidence Guarantee': We will guarantee that if the park is unable to open for Coronavirus related issues, we will move you break to another date free of charge.
